In late March, the Wall Street Journal ran a front page article on BPL and ham radio, in which it suggested that hams were a “vocal but shrinking group” of “quirky” old men who were standing in the way of advancing technology by opposing BPL. Both CQ VHF editor Joe Lynch, N6CL, and CQ Editor Rich Moseson, W2VU, wrote letters to the editor and to reporter Ken Brown, responding to both the tone of the article and the many inaccuracies it contained. Links to their letters are below:
N6CL letter: “The Quirky Bunch”
W2VU letter: Response to Journal “Power Play”
